bourgogne Les Grands Crus

The roads of Burgundy wines

The « Route des Grands Crus of Burgundy » is considered a royal way. It crosses in fact part of the Côte d’Or where the most prestigious vineyards are located.
After visiting Dijon, you reach the ancient village of Marsannay and the canton of Gevrey-Chambertin and vineyards of Nuits-Saint-Georges where you have the castle (twelfth century) Clos de Vougeot, headquarters of the famous Brotherhood of the Tastevin (this is the tatar dish in which we taste wine cellar).
Then this is the Côte de Beaune (city worth a stop, especially for its hospices), Pommard, Volnay and Meursault. Until Saint-Gengoux-le-National, it makes you discover the Chalonnaise region through a charming village to another: vineyards, groves, Romanesque churches, castles, Canal du Centre …
